Mike Menendez- Smithtown High School East Varsity Soccer Coach
â€‹Coach Menendez is entering his 11th year as varsity head coach at Smithtown High School East and his 16th overall in the Smithtown School District. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and holder of the NSCAA’s High School Coaching Diploma, Regional Diploma, and National Goalkeeping Diploma. Coach Menendez is also a Social Studies teacher at Smithtown High School East.
Robert Schretzmayer - Smithtown High School West Varsity Soccer Coach
Coach Schretzmayer is in his 9th. year as the Smithtown West Girls Varsity head coach and his 5th as a Booster Camp Director. Prior to this position he was the Varsity Assistant Coach for the Smithtown West Varsity boys. Coach Schretzmayer is also a Physical Education Teacher with 17 years in the Smithtown School District. He also serves several local soccer clubs on various levels including Director of Coaching, Technical Director of Player Development and Camp Director. A licensed Professional Trainer and Coach certified through the ENYYSA and an ODP Staff Coach he continues to train and coach all ages at both the advanced and developmental levels year round including a Number 1 Nationally Ranked team in 2016. Coach Schretzmayer is also a member of the NSCAA and holder of several licenses across three coaching associations. The NSCAA’s Director of coaching License, Premiere License, National and Advanced National Licenses, The USYSA Advanced Youth National License and is a certified coach through the USSF holding multiple licenses.
Camp Information: The Soccer Booster Club Camps provides an opportunity for soccer players of varying ages and skill to improve their individual soccer ability in a supportive and challenging atmosphere. Throughout the week campers will engage in a variety specialized station activities including small-sided games, technical drills, agility exercises, and skills competitions. Campers will also participate in full-field games in a fun, safe, and professional environment. The coaching staff includes Varsity, JV, and middle school coaches throughout the Smithtown School District and Suffolk County.

EAST CO-ED Soccer Camp
WEST CO-ED Soccer Camp
The Boys Soccer Mini-Camp is intended for boys in grades 3, 4, and 5. Campers will participate in activities and games designed to introduce and refine individual soccer techniques and concepts while having fun. The camp will be staffed and guided by Smithtown East coaches and current Smithtown East Varsity players. Campers are asked to bring soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, sneakers/indoor soccer shoes, and water.
